Client Scenario:  A Cradlerock client with a large US presence was exploring a better way to integrate leadership development across their entire managerial population. There were several leadership programs in place but each of them were separate and being delivered sporadically on a slightly ad hoc basis. With a clear strategic direction for the organization there was an opportunity to align leadership development and ensure the business had managers skilled in the core competencies required to drive that strategy forward.

Cradlerock Solution: Cradlerock has deep bench expertise in designing, delivering, and supporting high impact learning solutions. In this instance, we proposed a flexible, adaptable curriculum framework that combined self-directed modules with live virtual and in person workshops. We refreshed the full talent review process and identified a series of learning cohorts from first time managers to high potential employees to senior leadership.

Once we had established the initial assessment parameters and created learning cohorts we introduced a series of core skill building modules. Participants were exposed to programming focused on performance management, coaching skills, high performance teamwork, and a range of leadership development competencies. Intact cohorts met both virtually for short, monthly workshops and once per quarterly in multi-day development programs.

Over time, the program became the core platform for a series of ongoing learning communities. When measuring impact we found that at the two year mark the curriculum had a significant and measurable impact on both meeting business objectives and driving employee engagement. Retention shot up and as we tracked program participants a dramatically increased number took promotions into roles that formed the bench of future senior leaders for the organization.
